I LOVE THE LAYOUT!
I don't know what it is, but it's just so...awesome.
but I don't know if it's just google chrome, my computer or what. but it looks a little off-aligned to me.Impression:
your entries are really interesting and I really like to read them.
Your about page is really nice and organized. Actually, everything is organized! I really, really like that about your site. Not many sites can actually do that and make it look WOW but you can!Overall, I think I'll give this site four stars. I love the layout, I love the entries. And good luck with your awesome site!

Thank you so much for the review! I'm planning a new layout, as much as I love this one. I'm debating whether keeping this one up for a bit longer. But I do need to post another blog, a lot of stuff to post about.
But yeah, glad you really like it! And thanks! :)

Oh, and I forgot to add. I'm a VERY organized person. I can't stand anything that's not organized and well thought out. =P![[img: avatar]](/avatars/Kalliste.png)

on 24th Apr 2010 and said:As everyone has said. Great colours for the layout! I really love the nav... although I'm not sure about the drop downs that you've added. I'm not sure what you could do instead it just seems that they're not needed considering only two sections have an item listed.
One issue I have is that I, unfortunately, still have a small monitor and as such a small resolution (1024x768). In my resolution there is a lot of horizontal scrolling to see your content. What resolution is your site targeted at? - never mind. I see that you mention it is for 1024x768 and above - Have you looked at it on different browsers or resolutions? It isn't overly friendly on my PC. You might like to try http://browsershots.org to see how other people see your site.
I really like the way you have your blog laid out. The colours are great (the white works! I'm assuming this was a different colour previously) and easy to read. The text size is fine for me - not sure if you changed it or not - but again I am probably on a smaller resolution than everyone else.
Overall, great work, I'd try working on having a layout that is viewable for everyone in the future.

Hey thanks for your input! My screen resolution is 1680x1050 which is why I give a 1024x768 minimum for viewing my site. I normally use a canvas that size so I'm within it so it can be friendly, however this time the way I wanted to lay out everything on this graphic, I had to go a tad bit bigger.
Yes, I do go to browsershots, however this time when I tried it was giving me problems and not coming up with results, just giving me an error. So I was unable to make sure it was compatible. I only hoped it was cause I never had problems before when coding. And I haven't changed anything.
As far as the navigation, I play on having other sections and providing more information later. And especially with a different styled layout. With this one, I didn't want the drop downs to cover the text right below it. It just bugged me. But thanks for your input on the navigation! :)

on 23rd Apr 2010 and said:Wow! I love your layout! It it superbly coded, and color co-ordinated! It is also extremley aesthetically pleasing. I read a few of your entries, and thought they were hilarious! As a bystander, I felt that I could really feel what you meant in your writing! I especially liked the following blog entry:
I can totally relate to when cars take random swerves, and it annoys the heck out of me! I also hate tailgaters, and wish they would just stop!
The only negative thing I really have to say is that your font is a little small. The colors are also really bright (I love this about the layout, however staring at it while trying to read your blog entries is not easy on the eyes!) Perhaps you could consider going easy on the colors, or choosing some slightly cooler colors to work with on your next layout. A great color palette! Perhaps you should use the pastel version of it instead!
I really like the About page! I feel I get to know you,as the author, which makes reading your blogs a lot more enjoyable as well! I can imagine who is writing the articles, and in this way, I can imagine their perspective more clearly!
I LOVE Ugly Betty! I'm so sad that it ended, and I hope that another network may pick it up, however I do not think that will happen...Try to get your portfolio set up as soon as possible!!! This will be extremely helpful for you, and considering what you've already produced, I would love to see what else you have :D

Hey! Thank you so much for your review! I'm glad you like it :) I will take in consideration your suggestions about the font and the colors. I can see what I can do to mellow out the colors a bit. Black didn't suit well cause it was REALLY hard to see on that background. But I'll see what I can do for this layout. And I already have a plan cooking up for the next one :)
Glad you like my blog entries. I like writing and sharing my views. And especially coming from a creative background, I do try and write in a way that's easy to read and enjoyable to read. I myself don't like reading boring entries, so I try to write in such a way that is entertaining and not just blogging about what I ate and what I did that day.
And I will definitely get my portfolio up soon. It's just making thumbnails that's the irritating part to me. Haha!
Thanks again! And I hope you continue visiting! :)

First off, I love the layout! And you chose the colors really well. One thing I would suggest is linking to a blog post's permalink through the post's title. I also wish you had a footer, just to snip things off. Oh, and the text is a little small, but I'm not too miffed about that. Just mentioning it.
Your about page is nice and concise. So is your domain page. I don't think you should be linking to your portfolio if it's just coming soon. What I would do, if you want to leave the prospect of it in your navigation bar, is not link it, but have a CSS tooltip come down saying COMING SOON! You know? The network page is a-okay, as is the links page.
I'm back at your blog page, and I really wish you had archives available :( Or a search function. Something.
All in all, good job on the site! I think the design was the high point of it, though. The content was okay, nothing to come back for, and the blog doesn't have much to explore. Mhm.

Thank you Diana for your input! :) Glad you like the layout and the colors. Those are all my favorite colors too, and I didn't even do the illustration. So I was fortunate for that.
Thanks for mentioning the archives, I actually do have an archives page and forgot to link it. Will be doing that :) Thanks as well for your input on my blog. Not sure if I can link them via the title, I'm using CuteNews, but I will see what I can do.
Thanks again for your input! Much appreciated! :)
I had problems coding my footer and getting it to stay at the bottom without the use of a 'container' div. All my attempts have failed :( So if you know of any resources where I can get it to stick to the bottom that would be awesome!
UPDATED 18 Apr 10:
Update:
I fixed some of the things you mentioned. I made drop-down links in my navigation, and I linked to my archives if you hover over 'blog', and I made a drop-down for Portfolio that comes up 'coming soon'. And it's a bit more organized.I may change the navigation with each layout I make so that it works with the flow.
Made the perma links for the entry titles :)
Oh, and this was for my own interest, but I edited my blog tool so that enables browsing through entries that are not archived.
Thanks again Diana! And I hope that other reviewers can give me other tips to improve my site! :)
