Layout: I can tell that you did not create this theme. However, the background choice (I'm assuming you chose it) is fairly nice. Your header on the other hand is nothing special, just an unedited photo, I assume. Overall, your layout is relatively dull.

    Content:
Joe - This page could use a better biography of yourself.
About - This page is fairly well done.
Gallery - Why have a link of the 'Gallery' page that leads to the gallery? Why not just link it in the navigation?
Contact - I can't see anything on this page. There isn't a form or an email to contact you by. Doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of the 'Contact' page?

Organization: You site is fairly well organized although there is hardly anything on it!

Conclusion: Try making your own theme and add more content! Your site needs a lot more effort put into it.

First impression, colors are nice... image and text don't really match. Oop wait this is a premade layout, so no point in critiquing it.

    content
The Joe and About page could be put together and you could use anchor links. You have really nothing about you on the Joe page, what you do have is typical and most people don't really care about to be honest. You should give some of your opinions, describe your personality, your hobbies or something like that on there.

You should really try to find a plug in so you can incorporate your gallery with the site layout. It would look much nicer and professional if you did. It would not break the continuity of your site like it does now.

Please avoid placing links in your navigation bar when you don't have any content for them. If anything just save the page as a draft as a place holder until you do, but don't publish an empty page.
I would remove both the products and plug board since neither are up and running yet.

Contact is good enough I suppose. Would be nice to see a contact form and just a regular e-mail addy posted on the page for those who don't want to fuss with another im program.

Lastly your blog. It's quite honestly not that intersting to read. You only blog about site stuff or day to day activities, and honestly that makes for a very boring read. I also noticed you use chat speak and have quite a few spelling errors, you should really watch out for both of those. You will not keep readers if you cannot type properly and spell correctly. Try to come up with certain topics in your blogs that would get your read involved. Ask questions, give opinions etc.

    Overall
You need content! Much more interesting content. I'd also suggest trying to come up with your own layouts, or at least customizing the ones you use just a bit.

A premade layout so I won't go into a detailed critique of it, but there are plenty of nicer premades! This one is just so... boring, I suppose. It just SCREAMS default.

Also, please edit this theme so that there's more contrast between the text colour and the background. It's really hard to read at the moment.

I'm not loving the smiley face you have after your site name. It's out of place and random.

    JOE
Very boring. I know nothing about you. Why don't you talk about your personality and hobbies? (Also, I was extremely put off by "gays" in your dislikes section. You're alienating a lot of people here and creating an impression of being intolerant, just fyi.)

    ABOUT
You need to learn how to use periods and how to proofread. And how to cut back on the smileys used. Here is a suggested rewrite:

"As usual, my interest in web design started off with Piczo, but soon I got bored of its pathetic-ness and moved on to Sitesled. They were a quality subdomain host, but now they’re more bothered with profits. I was first hosted by Maddie at Seductive Kisses on a subdomain, and although I was happy with the quality of the site, it never really took off.

Feeling a bit left out, with all those graphics site owners now using domain names, I decided to purchase one my self. I bought ‘Gangsta Joey’, but unfortunately from that point onwards, everything was pretty much down hill. Although I continued with several other graphics sites, most were unsuccessful.

After losing a fair bit of money buying advertising, web hosting, content, etc, I decided to try the web hosting industry, but unfortunately it was just an even greater waste of cash.

After owning several domains and going through several hosting companies I decided to leave things to settle down for a while, but now I’m back with a brand new start here at MB.net."

Uh. Great. I can't really comment on this page, since it's just a domain page, but the giant graphic at the bottom is throwing everything off.

    GALLERY
An external link. Why, then, does it need its own page complete with an ugly glitter?

    PRODUCTS
Soon. Okay. No point in having its own page up.

    PLUGBOARD
Lol plugboards. And... it's closed anyway.

    CONTACT
Taking too long to load; I'm left wondering what makes a Contact page take years to load.

Overall, I didn't like your site at all. There is no indication that you have any talent whatsoever. You didn't make the layout yourself, you have no content to speak of, and it looks like you haven't put ANY effort into your website.

    Okay layout. Quite chilly.

Joe: I feel like this page is un-needed. You can simply put Joe and About together. Wait, you hate gays and goths and such? Look, let's get something straight, you don't have to love gays and such but you have to at least respect them. They are still human and some of them are just plain talented!

About: Your internet history, interesting enough. I don't really feel the need for ads. Personal blogs shouldn't be bombard with ads. They are really annoying.

Gallery: So I have a gallery link which have a gallery link in it? Why don't you just shorten the process into linking the actually link to your navigation?

    Product: Soon. :)

Plugboard: I like plugboards. I hope you open this page again in a near future!

Contact: Ah you have a contact page, good. I prefer a simple contact form but this will do.

Overall, your site isn't bad. You need to work on the contents a little. :)

    FIRST IMPRESSION
Good color scheme. But your layout is too wordpress standard theme.

    LAYOUT
This layout isn't made by you, so I don't want to judge.
Anyway, the navigation is easy to find.

    JOE
    Very basic! Not interesting.
Wait, wait. I read this in your "Dislikes" part...
    Emos, Goths, Punks.
What's wrong with them? I'm not one of them, but you should respect them.
Your JOE page is really boring.

    ABOUT
Your about page is better than your Joe page.
But, wait...so the layout isn't made by you?
And the dragon cave incubator...I think you place it in the wrong place!

    GALLERY
"Please click here to see the image gallery!"
In the bottom of the page I saw ads. Very annoying -.-
Why don't you just put the image gallery link in the main navigation?
And oh, you install Coppermine Photo Gallery just for 21 images.
In your image gallery, in the header, Galeery should be Gallery.

    PRODUCTS
    Soon.
Soon? Okay, if that's soon, why you put the link in your main navigation? That's pointless.

    PLUGBOARD
    Plugboard temporarily closed.

    CONTACTS
    I can't see anything.

    CONCLUSION
This is just your personal blog...well I can't comment your layout because you didn't make that layout.

    1/5 for you, sorry.

You state that the husky theme wasn't made by you so I'm not going to review you based on your layout theme. I will review you based on parts of the theme that you can change such as the text color, your content, etc.

First Impression: One of the first things I notice is that your text color is very light against the white background. It's too light. It makes my eyes have to focus in on the words more than they really should have too. I would consider darkening the text color.

The text in your title just seems like it's in an off place. Parts of the white text are difficult to read against the blue-gray of the background and other parts are not difficult to read against the dark brown of the dog. It gives the feel and impression that it wasn't thought out very well in planning and you just needed a place to stick your title. I know this probably was where the theme placed the title, but I would still seriously consider finding a way to move it so that it works a little bit better.

The image of the dog is just beautiful. I'm a sucker for baby blues. :)

I would consider fixing the background. Striped backgrounds can become districting from your content when they scroll. Scrolled backgrounds moving can have a dizzying effect. It's like that famous red stripe of a barber shop always turning - at least that's what it reminds me of.

Your navigation is easy to find. You'd be surprised how often people sometimes have to search for it.

The color of your links is easy to see and clearly a link. It becomes a little more difficult to see on hover. Have you considered having the hover color darker than the link color?

You seem to have issues with wanting the text colors to be lighter than what can reasonably be easily seen.

Sidebar: The links to the dates where you blogged in your side bar blend in with all the dates where you did not. What's the point of having a calendar in your sidebar if I can't immediately see where to click to find where you have blogged this month? Other wise it just looks like you're trying to show me the dates of the month and to be honest, I have my own calendar right by my computer. I don't need yours too. :)

The music you have on your on your site is honestly illegal. I would remove it.

Joe: The information in this section is way too basic. All you have done is basically create a list. It's very unappealing. I know it can be hard to write paragraphs about yourself, but you could at least make the effort. It shows that you put a little more thought into what you were wanting us to learn about you other than "Favorite food - chocolate." Yea, you and 80% of the world. That really makes me want to get to know you better and to return to your site. This page is an introduction to who you are as a person and is one of the sole ways for your visitors to get to know you. Add some good information to it!

About: It is sad when the domain section of a blog has more useful information about the owner than the joe section does. THIS was actually well written.

I don't think that your Dragon Cave Incubator belongs here. If you're going to have him on your site, then you may want to consider giving him his own section or page and then explaining him. I have no idea what a dragon cave incubator is and therefore, it just looks very random to me. If you would give him his own page, explain what he is, why he's there, and how he works - I might be more interested.

Gallery: Why include the "Please click here to visit the image gallery" link at all? Why not just directly link to the image gallery. I could understand you doing that if you were including some useful way of letting the visitor know that they were leaving your site, but this isn't the case. So why not just skip the useless 'click here' link and directly link to the gallery. You have to remember that visitors are the laziest creatures on the planet and having to click more times than they actually have to does nothing but irritate them. Plan your content and design around this reasoning. Visitors = lazy.

Products: There is nothing here. Don't link to places where there is no content. It's very amateur. No one likes to click a link only to have to click the back link three seconds later because there is no content. I would suggest removing this link until you have some actual content or giving the visitor and idea as to:
    1. What type of products you plan on selling.
    2. When is the expected date that you plan to open

Plug board: We run into the exact same problem as above. Do not link broken or down material either. I was all excited to see some sites and then was let down to find that it had been taken down. (Not really, but I could have been.) This goes back to not linking content you don't have.

When I checked the coding on your site, the validator came back with 131 errors and 36 warnings. You have a line break < b r > tag above your < b o d y >. This is not allowed and it's throwing everything off. You'll need to remove this as it serves no purpose in being there and actually doesn't even belong up there. I'm a little confused as to why you put it up there in the first place. Your CSS validates without problem.

Overall: I highly suggest that you darken your font. It is currently way to light. The header image just seems awkward in its current position. Your Joe section really needs some good information on Joe.

I hope you find this helpful, Joe. :)

    Style/Design
Bog standard premade Wordpress layout, amirite? Oh, ok, so your friend made it for you. No problem, but I guess that doesn't get /you/ many points. It's alright, nothing spectacular, and definitely not original. The text could be a little darker (for readability's sake) but it works. As I said before, I'm not going to score you up for this, since it's not your own work.

    Content
Definitely not liking your writing style. How old (or should I say, young) are you? I ask because your style is incredibly childish - I'd have a hard time taking anything you write seriously, sorry.

Other than your blog, there is a very distinct lack of any other personal content and a few of your pages have nothing on them (yet? for now?). If there's nothing to see, just remove the links - it's a waste of time to click 'em, else. So you wrote a little bit about yourself - there's nothing like prejudice! You would absolutely despise me. A little more information wouldn't go amiss.

Thankfully, I have Javascript and Flash blocked at the moment, so none of that music others have reported. I keep glimpsing 'advertisement' everywhere, though... you display ads? How much money do you make from that? You'd have better luck making money by selling your old Pokemon cards at the local car boot than you would putting ads on your blog, so do the viewing public a favour and remove them.

    Coding
Since you didn't design it, I'm guessing you didn't code it. Either way, it's not showing as valid XHTML. If you want to actually get into the serious website design lark - look into it. The fact that you're using Wordpress as a CMS gives you a lot of room to expand on what you've already got - if you could tidy the theme up a bit and make sure that the content pages it generates are valid (X)HTML - you've got it easy. No further comments necessary, I believe.

    Originality
The general deisgn is not original. The blog, it's all you, it's original by nature - but unfortunately in this case, that doesn't make it any good.

The wold is kind of cute but I'm guessing this is a premade layout or you are using an image that isn't yours. The words over the image take away from the brilliance of the image itself. Either get rid of them, or put a nice font on it.

The font is a little on the light side, maybe darken it just a touch.

Your categories could use some organizing. I mean come on, you have a categories entitled "Shit", "Ha!", and "Sexy".

    Onto the pages:

The Joe page: Okay, you could stand to add just a teensy bit more about yourself I think. This is a very boring page. It tells me little to nothing about you. Also, what is up with the disliking of gays?

The About Page: This page is pretty decent. Props for giving credit where credit is due. However, that dragon thing...enh, I think it looks tacky. Ditch it.

The Graphics Page: So, I go to the graphics page which then tells me to go to a totally different badly set up, uncategorized gallery with nothing of use to anyone on it. Put a link to it in the sidebar or something.

    Products: Uhm. Nothing there.

Plugboard: It says it is temporarily closed. I suggest that you put the plugboard when you reopen it, on the sidebar.

    Contact: Again...nothing there.

    Hope this was helpful.

    First Impression

The wolf's cute. But everything is completely faded. I also saw at your footer (which was very hard to read by the way) that you didn't create this layout yourself. That makes me sad a little. The next layout you put up I hope will be of your own. At least try a simple one first. Like I said, the footer is hard to read, but not only that, but everything is hard to read.

    Blog and Sidebar

Your sidebar is ridiculously cluttered. If it doesn't need to be there, let it go. For example, the music player. That shouldn't be on any site at all. I thank the higher beings that it didn't turn on immediately. Calendar...meh, I don't see the purpose other than it showing the posts you've made on what days. People can look through the archives for that. Same thing with the categories. If you want the categories, then you need to get rid of the calendar and the monthly archive (which I like better anyway). Do something to unclutter the sidebar.

As for the blog, I don't see why the plugs are at the bottom of it. If you have a links page or something, that can go into it. Right now, as is, it's throwing it off.

    Footer
Meh. That's pretty much what it is. Once again, hard to see through the wolf background.

    The other pages

Joe: A simple list of things that you like, dislike and stuff like that. I like the set up, but I would like to see a paragraph or two of you actually speaking. I'd like to know a little bit of Joe's personality. It's not showing very much here.

About: Just curious: what is the dragon thingy? I don't think it should belong there (or anywhere for that matter), but for the time being, keep it there until either you find somewhere suitable on your site for it, or you decide to do away with it altogether. Spelling errors! I see a few! "abit" should be "a bit", "unsuccesful" should be "unsuccessful", "loosing" should be "losing", and "sevral" should be "several".

Gallery: I was really expecting some pictures, but instead I was greeted with a link and an ad. :( Coppermine is definitely the easiest way out, but I would have made it so that the gallery link went directly to it, rather than having a "splash" page, so to speak, before it.

Products: If there isn't anything there, don't put it in the navigation. Whenever you get stuff there, then you can put it in!

Plugboard: Temporarily closed; don't have it in the navigation!

Contact: I have never seen a widget like that! However, I don't think anyone would call you (oh, please I hope no one does for the sake of your safety!), so a simple email contact form works. They have quite a few contact form plugins for Wordpress.

    All in all...
You have a promising site, which would be worth another star if the layout was created by you. The way to learn is to look at other layouts and base your own design off of them. Despite popular belief, it's not very hard. You need to let go of some things to help unclutter that sidebar. We want more Joe personality. I'm interested in hearing about the reason why you hate gay people (you might get torn in half about it, but don't mention it if you can't explain why!)

    Good luck!

You layout is quite nice, but based on the footer, I'm guessing that you didn't actually make it, so I'm not going to comment too much on it. However, the text is a little bit light. Consider making it a much darker grey, or even just black. I also notice you have ads on your site, which I don't particularly agree with, but they're at the bottom the page or sidebar, so they don't get in the way, which is good.

Your about page is pretty short, but you do give us a bit of information about yourself. It would be nice if you had maybe a few paragraphs about yourself.

You dislike gay? Ooh, CONTROVERSIAL! ;)

Like everyone else, I'm not going to review your gallery, since it's off-site.

Your products page is empty, so you don't need it in the navigation bar. You should get rid of it until it's actually completed.

Your plugboard is closed, so like above, you shouldn't have the link in your navigation.

Upon viewing your contact page, I'm met with some... Flash... thing. I'm sure as hell not going to download "Nimbuzz" if I want to contact you. It's also not very helpful people who don't have Flash installed. Get rid of it and provide either an email address, a contact form, or both.

Overall, it's not bad, there's just very little in terms of content, and clicking on two page only to find I can't do anything is a little annoying.

Your site looks pretty cute, the dog (wolf?) is cute. It's a premade, so I can't say much on it, though. The font is WAY too light, change it to #333 ATLEAST. The title is difficult to read though, and the :) is kind of unnecessary.

Your Joe page is standard. It could use a bit more information, maybe even a couple paragraphs about your life. Your About page is pretty standard as well (as far as I can read before my eyes go wonky because of the lack of contrast).

Your image gallery is off-site, so I won't be reviewing it. I'm not sure it needs its own tab and then pointless page, either.

Your Products page leads to a blank page with the word Soon. Clicking that link was a waste of my time, since nothing is on that page. Get rid of it, until you have this page completed, please.

Plugboard is closed, so, same as Products page, DON'T HAVE IT!

The Contact page seems kind of useless too. No offense, but I don't want to call you! An email form would work!

    First Impression:
Your site appears welcoming. I'm drawn in by your header - the dog has such pretty eyes!

The only thing I was dissatisfied about immediately was the music playing on your page - which in turn interrupted the music I was listening to. As a general rule, if you insist on having music on your page have it off and give your viewer the option of listening to it or not.

As a move on to your actual blog, I think your text needs some contrast. The text is too light and I have to strain my eyes a little while reading. On the note of contrast, your footer could use an adjustment. Try making the text darker to contrast against the image, because again, it's little hard to read.

Joe - It's short. I would elaborate some more on this page. For instance, how did your get your nickname, MellorBoy. Why do you dislike Facebook? Why do you like flying? Giving a little bit more information behind who you are can leave a lasting impression a potential new reader and give your blog more personality.

I'm not sure you need your Gallery page. I say this because this no pictures on the actual page, just a link to another website. I'm thinking maybe having a mention about it in your side navi, about page, or site page would be best suited. Also, I've come across some plugins that can have it where you can incorporate photos within a page - maybe that could be an option to check out.

There is nothing on the Products page, so nix it for now. If I was a first time visitor - which I am, by the way - I would feel I wasted my time to click on a link with nothing to offer. Same applies to your Plugboard page.

But overall, the biggest issues I experienced was with contrast and the music, especially the music. I usually automatically leave a site that plays music on their page.

Hope this review was helpful, and good luck! :)

    Hello there!

I like this header and color scheme, very cool. I don't think the smiley face fits in with the sort-of...serious (?) look your site has.

    Hey Joe!

I just opened up your site and boom! here comes the music. AH! I don't like it, if people have a music player on their site that starts automatically! I am listen to my own music right now and I think it's just annoying if there comes some different music out of the nowhere. Maybe change your music player, so that your visitors can press the play button and then the music plays and not that it plays automatically! Another thing I didn't like was on your layout. It looks really good and great organized but this thing

    Mellorboy.net :)

somehow doesn't suit to your layout. I think without the ":)" it would look better. But the font you have choosen on this layout doesn't suit that well to. Maybe you should have tried something else.
Your sidebar is organzied very well, but what I don't like is the list of your categories on your sidebar. It just takes alot of space and I think it's not needed there. Maybe you could have put it to the bottom, where your recent post are if you really want to have the list of categories somewhere on your site. Though I don't think people will scroll down to the bottom and see what there is. I usually don't do that.
I really like the background of your layout it's simple and just underlines the whole simple and nice style of your site! The colors you used are looking really good to and they also match to the layout and the background!
Okay, now away from your layout and into your pages! Starting with Joe. Your "About" page is pretty short but what I really don't like is this part in your dislikes:

    Emos, Goths, Punks, Gay

come on! You don't like gays? You don't have to like them, just respect them and leave them live their life! I mean you are free to write what ever you want but this little think just annoyed me. Going further to About. This site is pretty short to, but atleast you tell something about your web-design history and I really like to read that about sites. But what I recognize is, that you only credit three sites, I mean did you take the pictures by yourself? For example your header image? I am now leaving this page and go to Gallery.
The Gallery pops up on a new window and seems to be looking good. I won't review this small part of the site. And so I go further to Products. Oh, okay there isn't anything. Coming soon. Okay the two other pages left are the plugboard and the contact, but I won't review them. So I think I will give you an overall conclusion about your site.

--> I like your headerimage, though I think you could have worked a little bit more on it.
--> I like the background of your layout, very simple bu nice!
--> You maybe should think about the ":)" thingy on your layout.
--> Maybe remove/delete the category list from your sidebar.
--> Maybe edit your "About" and "Joe" pages a little bit.

Yeah I think that's everything. Hope I could help you a little bit!
